Believe it or not, I used to be a WWE fan. I absolutely LOVED The Rock. That man is hot. I never was Hulk Hogan fan. He was ok, but not my cup of tea. When I saw on my Facebook timeline that Hogan was fired for making racist comments, something in me just wasn’t surprised. I’m not mad at him. I’m just disappointed. He has all of these kids from different walks of life looking up to him, and he let all of them down.
I’ve been to a WWE match. They have die hard fans, screaming, yelling, jumping up and down. These fans buy tons of t-shirts, figurines, posters, etc. These fans have made Hogan rich, yet what does he do? He drops the “n word” several times. He goes on a racist rant. I know that the leaked tape is from 2006, but Hogan was a grown ass man at the time. He knew better.
Yes, he is an entertainer, but that just puts him in a position to influence others. I am sure his fans are crushed, devastated. I feel sorry for them more than anything. As far as my feelings for Hulk goes, I’m glad he was fired. He should’ve been. The WWE has an image to protect. That’s how business works sometimes. He had this grand opportunity that most people dream about, and he lost it all. See ya, Hulk. I hope you learned something valuable from all this.
