Dr. Boyce is right on point. Obama is a great President, but when it comes to Black issues, he won’t do anything. He will say something to the press, but won’t push any policies that would help Black people. Look at how he helped Gay marriage. Gay marriage is legal now. Yet his own people are still oppressed. I’m disappointed. I feel let down.
Now it’s election time, and a dumb ass Republican may swoop in to take the Presidency… ruining everything for people of color and other minorities.
Your thoughts?
I agree. I commend what the President has done for the LGBT community but in regards to Black issues he hasn’t done much at all. He was even hesitant to speak on certain issues in the press involving black people.
Yes! It’s very disappointing.
I’m glad I’m not the only one disappointed by his silence on these issues. Extremely disappointed that he didn’t speak up sooner and disappointed that he’s said so little. There’s no way he hasn’t experienced racism first-hand and for him to be so quiet when he’s sitting in one of the most powerful seats in the world. When he speaks up people pay attention whether negative or positive. He could’ve at the very least really started a dialogue.
Absolutely. You are right. He is the most powerful man in the world. He could put policies and laws in place that could help people of color. He chooses not to.
